It started in Gatlinburg by kicking off the first 8-man game in the country in early August. In between then and now, we took a return trip to TN, picked up two 11-man games, played teams from 4 different states, beat the SCISA state champs, played for a national championship and took on any team willing to play us. Over a 16 game schedule, we only picked up 2 losses to the #1 and #4 teams in the country. Down 3 starters, we finished it off with a 60-22 win on a quality Augusta Eagles Football team to win our conference championship, while playing one of the last 8-man games in the country. We have the BEST families in the game and the BEST players in the world. Most importantly I think we really impacted the lives of several of our players this year. 14-2. #ECBuzz!

High School and Middle School Football kicked off this week with two wins. MS handily defeated South Barber on Thursday night with a final score of 60-22. HS played an unforgettable inaugural game under the Friday night lights of Pike Valley. The first HS football game in Sabres history spanned three and a half hours. A high scoring thriller, the game ended on a winning Sabres touchdown as time expired. The final score was an incredible 70-68. One for the books!
