MS, JV, Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball

(by Lighthouse Sports)

Lighthouse Eagles Another strong performance by the Varsity Boys as they hosted Iron Academy in a home barn burner! It was a tight game right down to the final seconds until Lighthouse pulled away with some clutch play at just the right times! Surely playing a role in the outcome were the LH Sports Cheerleaders who were there to provide extra energy! Congrats to all. The LH teams will be battling the South Wake Sabres at home on Saturday. #ECBuzz. (courtesy Final Shot Photography)

(by Final Shot Photography) Lighthouse Eagles - FSP was in the House" at Wake Christian Academy Tuesday night as the came visiting and returned home 2-0! Both VG and VB played well and came out on top at the final buzzers. The VB, down by 13 at the half, steamed back, took the game into OT, and claimed victory in the last exciting few ticks of the clock! Congrats Eagles! Here are a few shots from the games (more to come later).

It was another great day of basketball for the Lighthouse Eagles JV and Varsity Boys teams. They competed in the Kerr Vance Holiday Tournament this weekend in Henderson, NC. The JV team earned their way into the championship game today and while coming up just a tad short in Overtime (OT!!!)... played very well throughout the game and tournament. The Varsity Boys were also on the court today facing the tournament host (Kerr Vance Academy) and won big breaking the 100 point barrier #ECBuzz (courtesy Jeff Keller, Final Shot Photography)

Lighthouse Christian Eagles (NC) The Varsity Boys Lighthouse Eagles team took the court last night with a very special focus: To Honor and Encourage a fellow teammate (Ryan #33) who was in a terrible car accident last week and is now in critical condition in the hospital. The game was played for him. The players covered their names on their warm up jerseys and replaced it with "STUMP" (Ryan's last name) and "33" was clearly seen throughout the gym on players, cheerleaders, and many of the Lighthouse Family. A special prayer at the end of the game was held on the court and it was a touching moment of unity as several players and students from the opposing school joined in with us. Lighthouse won the hard fought game but the fight continues on for Ryan, his family, and many dear friends. Please keep all involved in your thoughts and prayers.

Lighthouse Eagles (Wake Forest, NC)

- (from FB Post, photo courtesy Jeff Keller) participated in a two-day tournament at Campbell University last week. They played against some of the strongest competition around (last year's high school 4A State champs) and grew individually and as a team. A wonderful experience (Thanks to Coach Kyle for sponsoring the team). also see Summer Camps...
