Surry Runnin’ Patriots (NC) dropped a hard-fought game at home vs Triad Baptist by a score of 62-52. Joshua Bunke led all scorers with 15 points, and Nathan Mabe and Troy Lowell achieved the coveted “double double” with 11 points/11 rebounds and 11 points/10 rebounds respectively. Drew Morris made four players in double figures as he added 11 points off the bench.. #ECBuzz!

Girls Basketball team is recognized by Surry County Commissioners at the board's May 4 meeting. The Runnin' Patriots provide the opportunity for home-schooled students in Surry County to participate in athletics. The program has teams for both boys and girls basketball and cross country. The girls team won the state basketball title this season.
