The 17-0 SWLA Lady Knights Basketball win the West Hardin (TX) High School Tournament! Allie Conner #22 was voted as MVP of the tournament and Emma Marler #35 and Lindsey Miller #25 received All-Tournament!(courtesy Kari Nugent Miller)

LOUISIANA: SWLA Knights move to 2-0 Knights Football continue the winning streak tonight as they knock off Assembly 56-40. That is back to back 50pt games for the Knights. Great way to start the season 2-0
Louisiana: SWLA Knights Jacobi McClelland and Cody Romero from Swla Knights track team succeed in making thru the the first round of Junior Olypmics , USATF Southern district qualifier, and advance to Region 6 qualifier in Tennessee. They over came some tough competition from across 3 states. Jacobi qualified in the Javelin, shot put and long jump! Cody qualified in the disc! Last year Jacobi made it to the Junior Olympics in the Javelin and decided to add more events. This is Cody's first year to compete in the JO series and is doing great! Hard work pays off!! SWLA Knights soccer is now 5-0 with a 6 to 0 win over CHA Monroe!! This Tuesday night a rematch of last year state championship game with Chef of Baton Rouge! Both teams are 5-0 so far this year so it should be a great game

Update! SWLA Knights Jacobi McClelland got the silver medal in Javelin with a new personal record of 42.43 meters (140 feet against the wind!) in the second qualifying round for the Junior Olympics in Huntsville Alabama. He will now represent the Knights in the JUNIOR OLYMPICS in Kansas City later this month an incredible accomplishment that required a lot of hard work.
SWLA Knights SWLA Knights Jacobi McClelland finished 3rd (Javlin) in the USA Track & Field Southern Association Junior Olympics qualifier. He now advances to the region 6 qualifier. When he finishes in the top five he will advance to the Junior Olympics this year. His best throw this year is 39.9 M or 131ft (15/16 year old div) lots of hard work and dedication go in to get past this round. Keep him in your prayers as he travels to Alabama for the last quailfier!
