The goal is get more photo collections from parents and the future Flames Student Photographer
Here are the steps you need to take to get your photos included on the Flames Web-site:
- For the slideshow, pick out your favorites and them crop them (remove extraneous backgrounds, etc)
- Dimensions in pixels for the slide show is 260 pixels wide X 200 pixels high
- Should we decide to use your photo for the home page slide show, those dimensions are 500 (wide) by 400 (high)
- Send JPG or GIF images as email attachments to: coach4life@yahoo.com ( eventually they will be sent to the Student Photographer)

This is really a "no-brainer" fund-raiser because basically it is a rebate system on things you are already buying at Martins or Food Lion, or major gas stations, or Target, Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us, Borders Books, Bath & Body Works, Cracker Barrel, Panera ....and on and on it goes.
You just buy a gift card and instantly the rebate is donated to HSPN regardless of how soon you use the card!

| New Eligibility Rules
Will Take Effect in 2009
Currently, the Flames Officers have been undertaking the topic of Homeschool Students and Eligibility for Homeschool Athletics. The goal is to once and for all define and establish guidelines for homeschool students that can play Flames sports. The goal is to implement these rules by the start of school in 2009. This one-year transition phase should allow families time to adjust and/or make preparations once school begins in 2009. Coaches may decide to use this year to "grandfather" some players until the guidelines are fully implemented, effective August 1, 2009.
However, the following rulings will take effect on August 1st of 2008:
- AGE: a homeschooled student is eligible for participation in Flames sports as long as he/she will not turn 19 at anytime during the school year (August 2008 - June 2009).
- MEMBER OF ANOTHER TEAM: a homeschooled student is NOT eligible for participation in Flames sports if he/she also belongs on another team of the same sport during the same season.
Between now and next summer, a variety of surveys, voting (at Annual Spring Meeting) and final drafts will allow you to participate and help the leaders make the right choices. Some topics that will be included in an upcoming survey deal with:
- What percentage of school work done at home is considered a homeschooling student?
- How many classes taken at a Private, Christian, College or Public School is too many for classification as a homeschool student?
- What defines a homeschool student?
Another future survey will define the best formula for practices/ per week, games per season, etc.
